“Give a little back"

At wohomusic we believe first and foremost in the love of music. Unlike most other sites out there, we aren’t doing this to make a fortune. We’re doing it because we know what it’s like to be in a band trying to make it, we know how tough it can be to get those inroads to the industry, those opportunities for that all important exposure. We know what it’s like to love original music and hearing stuff for the first time. We wanted to build a site that we’d want to use ourselves.

Unlike other sites, we won’t charge you for membership, we won’t charge you for uploading your songs to the site, we won’t charge you for featuring your act, or giving you radio airplay. It’s all completely free to you.

Obviously it costs money to run a website, and we’re dependent on limited revenue streams for this. If you want to you can help us by making a donation toward funding our operation. It’s completely optional, there’s no obligation to do so in order to enjoy the full benefits of being a member of wohomusic – we don’t (and won’t) have premium membership fees of any form. It’s not what we’re about. Maybe you can’t afford to donate or you just don’t want to – that’s no problem at all! You can still involve yourself in the site fully and enjoy all its content without any limitations, we’re absolutely fine with that.

But maybe you’ve just landed a record deal because someone checked you out here and you’d like to give us a thank you by helping with our funding; maybe you’re already a successful artist who doesn’t like the way the modern music industry is more about business than about art and you like the ethics of wohomusic so you want to help support us; perhaps you’re filthy rich, you want to splash your money around and we’re as good as anywhere else; or maybe you simply appreciate that we’re doing by providing a free service to help aspiring artists progress is good and decent of us and you want to help us get the job done.
