December Winner!

Track of the Month

Thank you to all that participated in December's Track of the Month Competition. Big thanks as well to all the finalists for showing your support to wohomusic by getting your fans to join and vote for you. During the first week of voting we had the largest amount of new members join the site since we launched, so again a big thank you to all.

We are delighted to announce that December's Track of The Month winner is ...

Justin Sandercoe won the competition with 27% of all votes received with his track ‘Pity The Rose’. Penelope came in second with another large chunk (21%) of the votes so well done to you for getting so involved and for having produced such a popular track!

As the Track of the Month winner, Justin Sandercoe will be our featured artist for the month of January, a great start to the new year. The team at wohomusic will be organising some features with Justin and will be publishing them during this month.

We will continue to run our ‘Track of The Month’ competition in January, and as we did in December, the top tracks will be picked by five wohomusic member panellists. This nomination process between the five panellists will take a week and then the top ten tracks will be posted onto a poll for everyone to vote for their favourite throughout the remainder of January. These tracks will be selected from our homepage music player and will then be posted as a poll for all other members to vote for the final favourite track over the remaining weeks of each month. To ensure we always have fresh choices we will pick new panellists from our fan members each month. If this is something that you would be interested in applying to be part of please email competitions@wohomusic.net with a sentence or two about why you should have a chance to be one of the selected voices of wohomusic and we’ll let you know whether you have made it into one of the up and coming 2010 teams.

Competition Information:

Who’s in it to win it? – Everyone with their own music on the site and has submitted their music to our home page music player

How do we get to our winners? – wohomusic have selected five panelists from our member base, who have listened to all the tracks on our home page player. Each of them will submit two finalists and the 10 finalists will be listed in a poll for members to vote on.

How do members vote? – Anyone that is a member simply takes the poll once it is published, the second week of the month. Once you tick your answer, make sure to hit the vote button at the bottom. To make it easier for you to decide, we will place a link to each finalist's profile lounge for you to find out more and listen to each artist or band. This poll will end on the last day of each month and the winner will be announced on the 1st of the next month.

As an artist / band how can we promote our track? – Network with other members, chat to people in the ‘live chat’, get involved in the discussions in the ‘forum lounge’ and don’t forget
to ‘invite’ your friends, family, fans, work colleagues, neighbours and anyone else you know, especially if they like your music as their pretty certain to vote for you aren’t they!

What’s the prize?
The Artist/Band with the winning track will be the ‘Wohomusic Featured Artist of the Month’ for January 2010, which means:
- A feature on our homepage with a link to your lounge for a week.
- A broadcast message sent to all members announcing you as the winner of ‘Track of The Month’ including your biog and link to your lounge.
- A featured recorded interview on wohoradio.
- A mention on our myspace page, facebook and twitter etc
